Payne Model 400 Bamboo Fly Rod 9' 3/2 #7/8 8'6" Only 99 were made andA nice EF Payne model 400 bamboo fly rod, 9', 3 piece, 2 tip, built for a #8. 6. 6 ounces. Late 1950's or early 1960's model. Good original condition. It has some crazing to the wraps at the ferrules and a bit of chipping to the ferrule coating but I see no problems with the bamboo at all. There is a tiny amount of wear to the inner snake guides. The varnish is hard and in very good condition. Brown main wraps, red edges, with an extra band of yellow
