HL Leonard Model 38-4 Bamboo Fly Rod 7' 2/2 #4 7'8" Built in 1979 during theA nice H. L. Leonard Hunt 38 4 model bamboo fly rod, 7', 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #4 line. Serial #80162 which I think puts this just post Maxwell (all of the parts appear to have been made during Maxwells tenure). Mint condition. Crisp dry fly action. The nodes have been pressed, not belt sanded and the ferrule oxidation is pewter, not the later full black. Best of all the tiger maple seat is one of the ones I baked in the oven for two days
