This creates a two-tone double crystal with extremely interesting color zoning: While the largest lower area is colored light blue or red under polarized light

which gives the crystal an unusual shape

Imperial Topaz demantoid with very good lusterWe managed to purchase a small but excellent lot of Imperial Topaz for this location: almost all of the crystals have an excellent luster, a perfect termination and only a few inclusions. This Topaz has a perfectly formed top and excellent shine, as well. At the bottom of the base, this crystal has a small crystallization defect on one side, but otherwise has faceting quality in parts.
