What a face, smiling but also perhaps a bit haunting, in very old, very crusty paint that clearly weathered the elements for many many years, with a red painted mouth stretching from one end to the other and perhaps a second eye like a shadow below the right one. Some old yellow paint around the edges too. The round, cast iron clapper inside produces the most wonderful
