It's a tintype, and I believe a pretty early one, which has something of a ruby color to it (I've photographed in a couple of lights.) It has got some bends and dings as I've tried to capture too, though I don't think they detract but rather just add to his presence. 2 7 8" x 2 3 8" with bends and a little loss to image, as documented.
