I really like the ambiguity of the one and ink drawing at the top of this antique postcard--Are these two girls or is the top figure a boy

but it looks to me that he is glued to a piece of tin that is part of the bank itself and echoes his silhouette

and there are a few small pieces of mother of pearl still inlaid as well—all adhered to a solid wood panel

what makes this compelling is the charring to the lower left corner

This one isn't thickly caked in paint, but there's enough to make it lovely, and in this case I think it's nice to see the dark wood of the palette itself. There is a hairline split coming up from the bottom a couple of inches, but hang it on the wall and you would never notice it. 12 7 8 x 8 3 4 and in good condition. There is a detail photo of the split, which
