I believe this unusual mid-century Bitossi ceramic vessel once had a stopper and was made to function as a decanter--and a fabulous one I think it would make

It definitely has a few dark spots but I've not tried to polish it as I really like it just the way it is

and they make great paperweights

Pretty clearly carved by the same person, I suppose it is possible that these were all part of one continuous chain which at some point
