Pacific Northwest basket and one that I thinkI'm completely in love with this curious little hand embroidered character in a traditional costume that I'd guess is Eastern European, perhaps Ukranian. Between those bright eyes with star like black lashes and these fantastic ballooning pants what a pure embodiment of sweetness! I'd guess this piece dates to the 1940s or so and perhaps was made to sew onto something else. Iit has been loosely sewn onto a thin cardboard cutout backing, which has kept
